Stand Up Paddle surf school

Stand Up Paddle aka SUP is the new trend in surfing waves! Doesn’t matter age or physical strength SUP is easy, safe and enjoyable from the first lesson!

At first you learn the balance on the board and how to paddle. The suited place is a sheltered flat water bay where you can enjoy the landscape and the sea bottom. Then you can catch small and mellow waves in a sand bottom beach. Lanzarote’s beaches like Famara, Orzola or Arrieta are perfect not only for beginners. In Famara waves size increase progressively in the 7km long beach, so just walk the beach and paddle in when you is big enough for your skills.

Basic Stand Up Paddle surf course:

• History: The SUP evolution from origins to nowadays.
• Equipment: boards, paddles, wetsuits and complements.
• Waves: how a swell born, cross the ocean and break on the shore.
• Reefs: how different reefs make waves break differently, currents and dangers.
• Waves forecast: internet forecasts, waves and wind direction, tides, atmospheric pressure.
• Surf spots: wind, waves, currents, reefs, localism and attitude in the water.
• Safety: practical rules in the water and on the beach.
• Balance on the board and Paddle: technique and posture to paddle on a SUP board.
• Paddle in the waves: how to pass oncoming white foams or waves.
• Catching waves: technique and timing to paddle and ride waves on a SUP board.

Price includes: theory and practical lessons, hotel-surf school-beach pickup service, surfboard, wetsuit, complements, beach lunch (sandwich, water and fruit), photos, injury insurance.

SUP Camp

The SUP Camp is an all inclusive solution for alone surfers, groups and family. The SUP camp last at least one week and includes:

• SUP School: 25 hours SUP lessons in 5 days from Monday to Friday including all SUP equipment and beach lunch (sandwich, water and fruit).
• Accommodation: Sharing our surf house or in a private apartments for couples or families.
• Airport - surf camp - beach pickups service.
• Tourist tour around Lanzarote.
