KITE SURF SCHOOL

Kiteboarding is a surface water sport combining aspects of wakeboarding, windsurfing, surfing, paragliding, and gymnastics into one extreme sport. A kiteboarder harnesses the power of the wind with a large controllable power kite to be propelled across the water on a kiteboard similar to a wakeboard or a small surfboard, with or without footstraps or bindings.
Kitesurfing is a style of kiteboarding specific to wave riding, which utilizes standard surfboards or boards shaped specifically for the purpose.

There are different styles of kiteboarding, including freestyle, freeride, downwinders, speed, course racing, wakestyle, jumping and kitesurfing in the waves.
Kitesurf is an easy to learn sport, in just few lessons you will be able to manoeuvre the kite and the board. It does not require particular physical strength as it takes the maximum advantage of the kinetic force.
The Kitesurf lessons take place in the north zone of Famara Beach, where our instructors teach groups of maximum 4 people in order insure them a faster and safer learning curve. Each student has its own board and kite.

The duration of our kitesurf class varies everyday depending on everybody’s aptitudes, but generally they are 3 hours.
For those of you who already know how to kitesurf, we offer private lessons during which you will improve postures and techniques, using different boards like regular epoxy surfboards and bi-directional boards. You will perfect basic or advanced manoeuvres like jumps.
